My sister-in-law recently moved, and didn’t have time to sell her MacBook Air before she left. (She bought herself a new one, not knowing that her work was going to give her the she’d been using there, as a parting gift). So, she left it with us to sell for her, and we’ll send her the money. It’s a 2012 13.3 inch (1440x900), 128 GB SSD, Core i5 @ 1.7 GHz with 4 GB ram. Physically, it’s in really quite good condition - minimal nicks or scratches. I was thinking of listing it on Kijiji at $500 (CAD). What say ye, Oppo - is it worth more or less than that?

Just use it as a coaster.

$500 seems like what you’d be able to sell it for, so list it at $700 and let people work their way down a bit.

You could get 600 for it, I own a 2014 of the same specs, and the resale value on it would be about 800-900

Don’t tell the buyer, but I hate the MacBook Air.

Go to sellyourmac.com put in the specs and use the price quoted as the low wholesale price and adjust from there.

I like the hardware, but I’m not a fan of the OS. Although at this point, I’m not exactly thrilled about Windows 10 or Ubuntu either.

Everymac.com lists resale prices that I think are pretty accurate.

Hardware is fine. But I'm disappointed at the lack of power. My favorite OS is Windows XP by far.

I thought Windows 7 was decent.

Windows 7 isn’t bad, I think I’m just biased because my desktop with XP was better than my desktop with 7.
